Varied terrain; there are some moderately steep slopes, but the path is mainly farm tracks across rolling open country.
Starting with a 9 mile circuit of Thorney Island, there are constantly changing views, with the Weald to the north and the Isle of Wight to the south. Discover fine buildings, including Norman and Saxon churches, half-timbered houses, windmills and converted oasts, and explore charming villages and pubs.

About the Sussex Border Path

By walking 12-15 miles (20km) per day the route can be completed in around 12 days. Allow for an extra couple of miles (3km) or so each day to get to and from accommodation and to visit the many interesting features along the route.
