Scanning and copying Record Office documents

How to request copies of documents.

Copies of documents

We can supply photocopies where copyright and the condition of the item make this possible. 

Cost

  • Black and white photocopies (A3 and A4): £0.75 per sheet
  • Colour photocopies (A4): £2.50 per sheet
  • Colour photocopies (A3): £5.00 per sheet

Copies sent by post will be subject to postage and packing charges (£3.50 UK, £5.00 Europe, £7.00 rest of world).

Please do not send payment before the Record Office has confirmed the order.

Order

Email us with details of the items you would like to order. We will confirm the order/cost and send you our online form to complete.

Timescales

Requests for prints from microfilm and microfiche will normally be completed within a few working days, but large orders may take longer.

Scanning of documents

We can supply high quality scanned copies on plain paper, subject to copyright and the condition of the document.

Cost

We can supply scanned images only at the following cost:

  • Scanned image (up to A4) - £8.00 
  • Scanned image (A4-A3) - £16.00
  • Scanned image (A3-A0) - £32.00 

Print (additional to scanning fee above)

  • A4 - £5.00
  • A3 - £10.00
  • A3-A1 - £20.00

Please note that £3.00 is added if the image is supplied on a CD. Postage and packing is £3.50 UK, £5.00 Europe, £7.00 rest of world.
