Photos and images in libraries

Find out which libraries hold our collection of photos and pictures of Sussex.

We hold around 2.2 million photos and pictures of Sussex in our libraries.

  • Worthing Library - holds our principal collection of over 2.1 million items, including prints and engravings from the 1640s, paintings from the 1780s, photos from the 1850s and postcards from 1900.
  • Crawley Library - has over 63,000 views, mainly photographs and postcards, of the immediate catchment area.
  • East Grinstead Library - has around 500 photographs of the town and some surrounding parishes.
