Used cooking oil
You can take your used cooking oil to be recycled at the following Household Waste Recycling Sites (HWRS):
- Billingshurst
- Bognor
- Burgess Hill
- Chichester (Westhampnett)
- Crawley
- East Grinstead
- Horsham
- Littlehampton
- Shoreham
- Worthing
This new recycling service is for householders only to recycle their used cooking oil.
Please bring the used cooking oil to the HWRS in plastic bottles and the used cooking oil can be deposited in special containers on site for recycling. The plastic bottles can then be recycled in the appropriate container. Please ask a member of staff for assistance.
A maximum of 5 litres per visit can be accepted.
The used cooking oil will be recycled to produce a fuel, which can then be used to generate electricity.

Broken and unwanted electrical appliances (such as ovens) can be recycled at your local Household Waste Recycling Site (HWRS).
Your local HWRS will accept a wide variety of electrical appliances for recycling such as toasters, microwaves, electric toothbrushes, lawn mowers, hairdryers, fridges, washing machines, power tools and so on.
