Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC)

Who the PCC for Sussex is and their responsibilities.

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex is Katy Bourne.

Commissioner Bourne has a range of responsibilities, including:

  • setting and updating a police and crime plan for the Sussex force area
  • setting the force budget and the amount of council tax residents pay for the police
  • holding the Chief Constable to account on behalf of the public.

Community Safety Partnerships, voluntary and community sector groups across West Sussex collaborate with the PCC to ensure that West Sussex remains a safe place for residents and visitors alike.
