About this venue
Maximum licensed room capacity:
The Heritage Room Oakwood House lies approximately 2 miles to the west of the cathedral City of Chichester with easy access by road, rail and Southampton airport.
Situated at the heart of the historic Georgian Oakwood House, is the Heritage Room. With bow windows opening onto the beautiful lawns with views of the surrounding countryside, this makes an enchanting venue for your special day or setting for a marquee.
Formally the Library, The Heritage Room is a bright, high ceilinged and welcoming space retaining many of the charming original features including antiquarian book collection, oak floors, marble fireplace, elegant gilt mirrors and grand piano.
The Heritage Room comfortably seats up to 60 guests for a marriage or civil partnership. For a smaller or more intimate wedding, the room can be adapted to seat up to 40 diners following the marriage. As an alternative, a marriage or civil partnership in the Heritage Room can be the pre-cursor to celebrations in a marquee on our lawns or at another venue of your choice.
In addition to the Heritage Room, other parts of Oakwood House are available for small reception gatherings and hospitality.
