Make Your Mark 2020 results

West Sussex come first in the UK.

The Make Your Mark Youth Consultation takes places every year across the UK, where all young people get a chance to vote on issues that affect them.

We had over 30 schools take part this year in West Sussex, which is amazing in the current situation, and we are very grateful to those who took part.

Read more about the results on the British Youth Council website - select ‘The Results of 2020’.

New campaigns that the West Sussex Youth Cabinet will now be working on in 2021 are:

  • support our mental health (UK wide topic)
  • domestic violence (local topic for West Sussex area)
  • homelessness (local topic for West Sussex area).

These will be added to their campaign list which already consists of:

  • racial inequality
  • mental health
  • environment
  • knife crime
  • political engagement
  • LGBTQ+ awareness.
