Moving school

Apply for an in-year admission to move your child to a different school.

Please read our guidance before completing this form. This lists the schools you should not use this form to apply for. Only use this form to apply for schools where West Sussex County Council (WSCC) manages in-year admissions.

  • This form will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
  • Please allow yourself enough time to complete it in one session as there is not an option to save and come back to it later.
  • Think carefully before requesting a change of school that is not related to a change of address. We encourage you to discuss your application fully with your child's current school to see if any issues or concerns can be resolved first.
  • Be aware that you may need to attach documents to provide evidence for some statements and we may need to contact your child’s previous school/s for their educational records.
  • The questions marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory and require an answer. However, you should aim to provide all the relevant information so that your application is not delayed.
