Admission arrangements 2026/27 consultation

Notice for consultation on admission arrangements for 2026/27, including the reduction in published admission numbers for West Park CofE Primary School and Trafalgar Infant School.

Notice is hereby given in accordance with legislation that West Sussex County Council is formally consulting on its proposed admission arrangements for the school year 2026 to 2027, including a reduction in published admission numbers (PAN) for West Park CofE Primary School, Goring by Sea, Worthing, from 120 to 90 and a reduction in PAN for Trafalgar Infant School, Horsham from 90 to 60.

The local authority is required to consult:

  • parents of children between the ages of two and eighteen
  • other persons in the ‘relevant area’ (set by the local authority) who in the opinion of the local authority have an interest in the proposed admissions
  • any adjoining neighbouring local authorities
  • in the case of schools designated with a religious character, the body or person representing the religion or religious denomination

The six-week (minimum) consultation began on Monday 25 November 2024 with the closing date for submitting comments being Friday 10 January 2025.
