Dealing with a heatwave

Public Health England and the Met Office have raised the Heatwave alert to level 3.

There is a 90% probability of heatwave conditions between 9.00am on Tuesday 20 June and 9.00am on Thursday 22 June.

For information on looking after yourself and 'Beating the Heat' go to the West Sussex Wellbeing website.

Increased temperatures can be extremely dangerous and can affect the young, elderly and those seriously ill. Please keep a look out and support those who are more vulnerable and at higher risk from the heat.

During the summer months, Emergency Management works with social and healthcare services to ensure that awareness and background preparedness are maintained by the measures set out in our respective heatwave plans.
