Financial support for suppliers during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

How WSCC will support suppliers based in West Sussex during the pandemic.

We are committed to supporting our suppliers and the local economy during this time of economic uncertainty. This support is in addition to the support offered by the Government and is designed to work in parallel. However, we anticipate that all organisations will have fully explored and accessed, where appropriate, the existing support offered by the Government Support for Business.

Payment terms for West Sussex County Council (WSCC) suppliers

We will make every effort to pay invoices as quickly as possible to support improved cash flows. A contract variation should not be required for this and all other terms and conditions and invoicing procedures set out in the contract will remain as is.

See our advice on how to submit invoices, which will help to ensure timely payments are made.

WSCC contractual terms and conditions

In the current circumstances, we will also provide a flexible approach for supporting existing suppliers and customers with individual contractual challenges. This will focus on supporting the County Council's service providers and contractors up until 30 June 2020 to:

  • assist business and market sustainability
  • complement the support already put in place by the¬†Government
  • look at options for ensuring appropriate cash flow.
