The Government is currently offering a £3,000 apprenticeship incentive payment to businesses who start a new apprenticeship between 1 April and 30 September 2021.

The Kickstart programme is a Government funded six-month employment opportunity for unemployed young people. This scheme is available for new starts up to the end of December 2021.

T levels

T levels are a 2-year qualification for 16 to 19 year olds, which require an unpaid industry placement with an employer for 20% of their time.

A traineeship is a skills development programme, that includes a work placement. It can last from 6 weeks up to 1 year, though most traineeships last for less than 6 months.

The Government is currently offering up to ten £1,000 incentive payments to businesses who offer a work placement to a young person on this programme.
