Information for West Sussex childcare providers during COVID-19

Find the latest guidance about operating during COVID-19.

All childcare providers are affected by the Government’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Providers in West Sussex should ensure that they are receiving the regular ‘Setting update’ email bulletins from the Early Help Service, even if temporarily closed. If you are not, please contact us.

During the pandemic, refer to up-to-date government COVID-19 guidance.

If your setting is closing due to COVID-19, please ensure you read and follow all of the steps in the Public Health England (PHE) South East Health Protection Team (HPT) flowchart below.

All providers, except Out Of School providers, are required to complete a monthly online data capture survey. We require this information for the Department for Education. It is open for a three day period each month and we will remind you to complete it via our email bulletins.

Please note: this survey should be completed by West Sussex local authority area providers only.

You do not need to complete the survey during school holidays if your provision is closed for the break.
