Permanent School Secretary Address: Rock Road, Storrington RH20 3AA Website: www.thakehamps.co.uk Email: head@thakehamps.co.uk Tel no: 01903 740176 Hours: 5 days a week: Monday to Friday, 8.30am 3.45pm, 6.75 hours per day, 33.75 hours per week (term-time only) Salary: Grade 4 point 5 to 6: £19,312 to £19,698 per annum pro rata Start: 22nd February 2021 The Governors of Thakeham Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and committed School Secretary to join our team of friendly and hardworking staff. Previous experience of working within a school office would be beneficial as would proficiency with a range of IT programs e.g. Word, SIMS, Publisher and Excel. You will be responsible for the efficient management of the reception /office, liaising with parents, staff, visitors, governors, the education authority and of course, children! This would suit a very versatile person able to multi-task and prioritise work in a busy environment. The role requires efficient and friendly customer care and communication skills. Confidentiality is essential. The successful candidate will hold a current First Aid qualification or be willing to undertake training. From September 2017 we expanded to become a Primary School and re-located to a modern, well-resourced and re-furbished building on Rock Road, within the Parish of Thakeham. This has served to support and facilitate the opportunities available to our pupils and staff, enhancing our achievements. These are recognised in our recent Good Ofsted report (July 2018) which we are very proud of! Thakeham is a really special place to learn and grow. We have 4 classes with currently 103 pupils on roll and growing. High quality learning and teaching are at the heart of our school.
