We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant who is able to provide support in the classroom as soon as possible. This post is initially a fixed term contract until July 2021 with an opportunity for it to be extended further, budget permitting. This post is for 14 hours per week working term time only from 8.30am -12 (midday), 4 days a week. An additional contract for 2 hours a week working as part of our Midday Meals team on Wednesdays And Fridays will also be offered at WSCC grade 2. A flexible and willing approach and a commitment to providing a high quality of care and learning support is required for this post. Experience of working within a classroom setting and a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential. You will be able to work well in a team but also with minimum supervision under the direction of the Class Teacher. Excellent communication skills and good literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
