We are looking to recruit additional exam invigilators / readers and scribes to support our existing team, starting as soon as possible.
This role will suit applicants looking for flexible working hours with emphasis on being available during the busy examination periods throughout the year. The role is a casual contract, so hours and days will vary dependent on operational need, however, availability will generally be required from 8.30am for morning exams and 12.45pm for afternoon sessions. Notice of upcoming exams will be given in advance, at which point invigilators will be asked to confirm their availability and a work schedule will be mutually agreed. Duties include: • setting out the exams in preparation for the students • maintaining an invigilator presence in the exam hall • finishing the exams • collecting and collating papers • generally supporting the exams officer in ensuring efficient running of each exam. Full training will be provided, however experience of working with young people would be an advantage. Applicants should be able and willing to carry out the duties above in an organised manner, whilst taking a firm but sympathetic approach with students during the exams. We are also looking to appoint individuals to support students with Exam Access Arrangements, with both reading and scribing in exams. We are looking for professional people with a desire to support students in overcoming barriers to learning. Experience of supporting students in GCSE or A-level examinations is desirable, but not essential.
