| We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of Maths, with the energy, passion and creativity to teach in the Secondary phase of our thriving All-Through school. This is an opportunity for part-time position, for a September 2024 start. We are ideally looking for someone to work three days a week, with some flexibility over the working pattern.

The Team Our highly qualified and successful Maths department consists of a seven strong team and strong leadership from both a Head of Department and 2i/c, who also work closely with the Subject Lead of Maths in the Primary phase. With dedicated classrooms for the subject in the heart of the school, Maths is at the core of our curriculum and is given extensive curriculum time to ensure ambitious and successful delivery. Our maths classrooms are set up for 360 degree learning; a practice that helps to boost engagement and AfL opportunities. We are currently on the path towards becoming a paperless department, with use of Chromebooks, iPads and electronic exercise books. Every teacher receives a laptop to support their planning and teaching. The current focus for the Maths team is increasing the number of pupils at 5+, and achieving accelerated progress for our upper ability learners. The successful candidate will be joining a forward thinking, highly effective and happy team. Pupils are entered for AQA Mathematics GCSE. Our more able pupils have the opportunity to complete additional GCSEs in Statistics and Further Maths, giving teachers at CFS a unique chance to teach these courses and widen their skill set. The Role The person appointed to this post will be expected to teach mathematics to all abilities in Years 7-11. They will also be expected to take a proactive role in the extra-curricular life of the school.
