The Governors of Holy Trinity School wish to appoint a dynamic, proactive candidate to the post of Subject Teacher – Business Studies. This post presents a good opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified practitioner to join the successful and friendly Computing & Business faculty.
Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to the teaching of KS4 & KS5 Business Studies. We require practitioners who have the enthusiasm, skill and ability to make a positive contribution to this motivated team. Ideally, applicants should have experience of teaching KS5 courses.
Applicants would be working as part of the Computing & Business faculty. They would likely be delivering KS4 and KS5 Business courses. The ability to teach A Level Economics would be a benefit, but is not a requirement. We offer a large range of courses including A Level Economics, A level and L3 BTEC Business, GCSE Business and BTEC Enterprise. We have one class of each KS5 course which have good results that allow students to go on to secure places on Business and Economics degrees. GCSE Business Studies & BTEC Enterprise are also extremely popular, and we have 1 or 2 classes in year 10 and 11 each year. Many students then go on to study Business at KS5. We are looking to appoint a full-time teacher of Business Studies, ideally with the ability to teach another subject.
Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to excellent teaching and learning; to securing good or better outcomes for students; to developing student potential and to promoting the study of the subject in the 6th form. Those expecting to be paid at the upper end of the given pay range will need to evidence how that is merited in their application.
We offer:
• Engagement of all teaching staff in the in-school HITS programme to enhance our teaching and learning in the classroom.
• professional learning is delivered for all stages of career development and supported through the LA and universities e.g. a mentoring programme for ECTs linked to Xavier; a comprehensive induction, and a good programme of CPL.
• an easy commute via public transport from Brighton, and from other parts of East and West Sussex and from Surrey. Many staff operate car share schemes, mini-bus pickup and drop off from Three Bridges Railway station, onsite parking.

The preferred method of communication in connection with this vacancy is by email. This is how invitations to interview will be sent. Please ensure that you check your emails and junk or spam folders on a regular basis.
Application forms and details about the post are attached/on the website. All enquiries and completed application forms with covering letter/statement should be sent to HR hr@holytrinitycrawley.org.uk by the closing date or earlier.

NB: The closing and interview dates are a guide only. We intend to review applications as they are received. An early application is advised, as once we have appointed, we will close the recruitment process.

The Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we cooperate with other agencies and initiatives at local and national level. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
