| The governing body is looking for a reliable, proactive, and highly organised Clerk to Governors. Previous experience as a clerk would be desirable but not essential - full training can be provided.
St Mary’s is a popular and successful Church of England primary school in the heart of Horsham, with a thriving and supportive community. Our forward-thinking governing body come from a range of backgrounds and bring a variety of skills and experience to the team. It is instrumental in ensuring the school continues to be the best it can be, and leading change which will shape its future. As clerk, you will be a key member of the team with access to regular training and advice to support you in the role. We typically meet 7 times a year, and meeting times (which may be during the day or evening) are set well in advance - these are the only fixed hours. Preparatory and follow-up work can be done flexibly, at a time that suits you. We have just begun using Google Workspace for collaborative working, enabling better communication across the governing body when working remotely.
