Thank you for expressing an interest in joining our team and being one of our teachers. We’re looking for the best person out there to join our team!
Bolnore Village Primary School is a close community where every single person is valued, and everyone works
closely together in the shared aim of doing the very best we can for our children. Our children learn through
engaging, relevant, well-planned and challenging lessons. Excellence and equality are delivered through a curriculum designed to develop the talents and potential of every child, as well as secure basic skills. Learning is irresistible to our children because we use a ‘hands on’ experience based approach alongside outstanding teaching. We are surrounded by a rich, natural environment that allows us to use the outside as part of our classroom, and all our staff are committed to our Forest School programme.
All our staff are enthusiastic and have a passion for making teaching, learning, progress and attainment
outstanding for every child. We’re looking for a teacher who is happy to contribute to the wider life of the school, and who cares about our school. Our new teacher will need to be flexible and committed to their own
professional development. What are we like? We are kind first and foremost; prioritising the children and our colleagues every day. Bolnore staff are hardworking and committed to every child, putting every effort into making a difference each day (and we do). We are ambitious for the children and in our own professional development to do the best we can. We are funny and laugh together all the time. Our attitudes are positive and we like to radiate optimism. In our daily interactions, we are respectful and empathic towards each other and the whole community. Through working together, we know we can achieve more so we involve our colleagues, parents and children in decision making and actions. We are welcoming and warm; we smile. We are absolutely dedicated to the school, whilst also recognising that for well-being we have to also make
time for our family and our life outside of school. We are creative, inspiring and fun! Do you want to join us?
We can offer you:
• An opportunity to work with a fantastic team
• The environment and encouragement to develop your
role and skills
• A committed, supportive Governing Body working in
partnership with the school and the community
• A 21st Century school set within glorious woodland
where outdoor learning is strongly embedded not only
in a creative, stimulating curriculum, but also through
our Forest School programme

We strongly recommend that you come and visit us, and spend some time looking at our website to find out more about us. Our Ofsted report, our Curriculum and current School Improvement Plan are also on the website.
We are currently looking for a teacher for September 2024. We have not specified a year group, as it all
depends on who is successful on the day. Newly qualified teachers are
also welcome to apply; we have a strong internal and locality ECT development programme.
Please use your application and Personal Statement as an opportunity to reflect your personality, teaching
style, experience, strengths and creativity. Lots of people send in applications; make yours stand out. Please read the guidance on page 11 before starting your Personal Statement. On behalf of our children, parents, staff and Governing Body, thank you for your interest in applying for a job at our school. Please call us if you have any questions. We very much look forward to considering your application and welcoming you to our school.

We are committed to safeguarding and all applicants must be willing to undergo screening including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
