West Sussex Alternative Provision College (WSAPC) is an educational establishment based across the county on seven separate sites, providing education for pupils whom are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion or too ill to attend school. Our ethos is to provide FOCUS (Future, Opportunities:, Curriculum, Us, School) for our pupils to re-engage them in their learning and support re-integration to mainstream provision.
Are you an enthusiastic, well-motivated and suitably qualified person with a keen interest in all aspects of building management, maintenance, DIY, painting and decorating, caretaking and gardening skills together with an ability to supervise and work alongside cleaning staff and external Contractors. The role of Premises Officer: • Ensure that the school environment is maintained to a satisfactory standard • Deliver a quality service in a school where high standards are set and expected • Carry out compliance checks • Complete mandatory reports • Provide support to other Centres when required About you: • Maths and English GCSE or Equivalent • Experience in ICT software, particularly office 365 • Experience in similar working environment • Have a patient and flexible attitude • Be well organised and highly motivated • The ability to work in a team and on own initiative Criteria for role: • Invaluable experience of working in an Alternative Provision setting • Opportunity to work in a rewarding and vibrant team environment • Full support and ongoing training • Opportunities to progress and work interdepartmentally • Inclusion in our School Wellbeing strategy • Employee Assistance Programme • LGPS Pension If you are interested in this vacancy and would like an informal discussion please email hr@wsapc.co.uk in the first instance Please note that this is an all-year round role and operates on a split-shift basis.
