West Sussex Alternative Provision College (WSAPC) is an educational establishment based across the county on Seven separate sites. We provide education to young people who are not accessing mainstream education. The College is rated as ‘Good’ following a recent Ofsted visit in March 2018 and our focus now, is to move from Good to Outstanding. What we’re looking for: We are looking to appoint a Senior Exams & Data Officer to lead on the examination processes across our Centres and assist the Data & Communications Manager in the effective and robust management of our assessment data. You will be responsible for the smooth running of examination activity for various awarding bodies, including the administration of student registrations, assessments and examination entries, arranging resources as well as dealing general day to day operational issues. You will also be responsible for the development and use of the School Management Information System to support school improvement, and our allied data systems. The key duties include but not limited to: Ensure the effective organisation of all college examinations and statutory assessments Manage the receipt and dissemination of examination results on result days including the main August examination results days, in liaison with the Data & Communication Manager Develop and oversee the use of assessment data across the College Provide concise and accurate data analyses and reports to various stakeholders You will have: Maths and English GCSE or Equivalent Knowledge of administrative processes Knowledge of JCQ regulations for the conduct of examinations Experience of examination processes in a school environment Excellent knowledge of a wide range of ICT software, particularly Office 365 We can offer: Invaluable experience of working in an Alternative Provision setting Opportunity to work in a rewarding and vibrant team environment Full support and ongoing training Opportunities to progress and work interdepartmentally Inclusion in our School Wellbeing strategy Term Time only contract Employee Assistance Programme LGPS Pension If you are interested in this vacancy and have any questions, please email hr@wsapc.uk in the first instance.
