Sustainable Community Strategy

View the partnership strategy outlining our aspirations for communities and individuals in West Sussex until 2020.

During 2008 a Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) was developed for the county on behalf of the West Sussex Strategic Partnership.

The Partnership comprises public, private, business and voluntary sector organisations working together for the benefit of West Sussex, its residents and visitors. The police, NHS and a wide range of service providers from the voluntary and statutory sectors are also represented. All levels of local government are represented through the County Council and district, borough, parish and town councils.

The Strategy sets out a vision for West Sussex and provides a direction for partners when preparing action plans and investment programmes. The County Council has also aligned its business plans to the strategy and local priorities.

The 2008/20 strategy was implemented following agreement by Sussex Strategic Partnership and endorsement by the County Council.
