Minerals Local Plan public examination

View the submission documents and background evidence to the Minerals Local Plan.

The Minerals Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State in June 2017. It will be subject to a public examination, with hearings due to take place between Tuesday 19 and Thursday 28 September in Chichester, in line with the Minerals and Waste Development Scheme.

Further details of the hearing sessions can be found in the examination document library below.

Inspector Jonathan Manning BSc (Hons) MA MRTPI has been appointed to conduct the examination to determine whether the plan is 'sound'. If it is, we anticipate adopting the plan in May 2018.

We have appointed an independent programme officer, Chris Banks, to guide the plan through the examination and act as an intermediary to the Inspector.

If you have any queries about the examination, the hearing sessions, or wish to raise an issue with the inspector, please contact the programme officer.

Examination document library

The examination document library lists all the documents related to the preparation and examination of the Joint Minerals Local Plan. This is a ‘living document’ that will be updated throughout the examination.
