Information for members of the LGPS and those with police, firefighter, teacher and NHS pensions

How is my pension revalued?

How the annual revaluation affects your pension.

Your pension is revalued on the first Monday after 5 April each year. The rate of revaluation will be in line with the change in the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) at the previous September.

If the CPI is negative, your pension will remain payable at the same rate and will not be reduced.

As the increase is applied part way through the month, you will not see the full increase until your May payslip.
