Proposed changes to public sector pensions
In late December, Heads of Agreement were published setting out
high level principles for the reform of public sector pension
schemes. This follows the recommendations made by Lord Hutton
following his recent review and report.
It is important that all employees understand the potential
implications of the changes on their pensions.
The ‘Proposed Reform of the LGPS’ summarises the current
principles for published by the Local Government Association,
Unison, GMB and Unite.
