Royal garden parties

Each year the Lord Chamberlain organises three Royal Garden Parties on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen. These take place in the grounds of Buckingham Palace. Receipt of an invitation to attend such an occasion should be seen as an acknowledgement of the contribution made by that person to the community at a national or local level.

The Lord-Lieutenant is able to recommend the attendance of a number of residents of West Sussex each year. She achieves this in consultation with her Deputy Lieutenants.

She is happy to receive recommendations from members of the public, and these should be notified to the following address by the end of February each year:
