Honours
Honours background information
Nominations for honours are welcomed
from members of the public. The Prime Minister wants his list to be
representative of society as a whole - men and women from all walks
of life including those from ethnic communities.
There are only 1,000 awards in each
Prime Minister's Honours List published in the New Year and on The
Queen's Birthday in June, so only those who have given exceptional
service are likely to succeed. This does not mean, however, that
the contributions of other candidates go unappreciated or
unnoticed.
You may submit a nomination at any
time. Receipt of your nomination will be acknowledged, but it is
not possible to provide any further information, or progress
reports, on your nomination.
On the right you can
download some 'frequently asked questions' and instructions on
how to nominate someone for an honours.
