West Sussex County Council works hard to support adults to safeguard themselves. Abuse is a significant and socially important feature of society which has considerable cost to those adults affected.

Accordingly, adult abuse and how to protect – or in more recent terms, safeguarding adults at risk has risen on the social policy agenda.
