Making contact
You can make an occupational therapy referral for either an
adult or a child through our 'OT Connect' service.
You can also find out how to contact the community equipment
service on this page.
Occupational therapy services for adults
Our occupational therapists working with
adults liaise closely with health service colleagues and the local
district and borough councils.
If we can help you we will, where possible, authorise
technicians to deliver and fit small items. This helps
to reduce delays to people who have urgent needs.
Please bear in mind though that we have to prioritise referrals
and there may be a delay in assessing you.
Don't forget that, if you are a carer, you can ask also ask us
to assess your needs.
Occupational
therapy services for children
Our children's occupational therapists work with young people
and their families to maximise a child's abilities and give
them the opportunity to lead their lives as independently as
possible in their own homes.
Following an assessment of the child in their home, the
occupational therapist may recommend specialist equipment to help
with activities such as feeding or bathing, seating and posture
management, or housing adaptations.
