Occupational therapy services for adults

Picture of a woman talking on her mobile phoneOur occupational therapists working with adults liaise closely with health service colleagues and the local district and borough councils.

If we can help you we will, where possible, authorise technicians to deliver and fit small items. This helps to reduce delays to people who have urgent needs.

Please bear in mind though that we have to prioritise referrals and there may be a delay in assessing you.

Don't forget that, if you are a carer, you can ask also ask us to assess your needs.

Occupational therapy services for children

Our children's occupational therapists work with young people and their families to maximise a child's abilities and give them the opportunity to lead their lives as independently as possible in their own homes.

Following an assessment of the child in their home, the occupational therapist may recommend specialist equipment to help with activities such as feeding or bathing, seating and posture management, or housing adaptations.
