West Sussex Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT)
Our West Sussex Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT):
- commissions services to provide a range of drug and alcohol
treatment to adults and young people in West Sussex;
- sets a vision for these services, promoting a culture where
recovery is the aspiration at the outset of treatment;
- encourages and promotes interaction from its customers at all
levels of its commissioning;
- promotes partnership work with relevant agencies, covering
issues such as housing, employment, public health, recovery and
criminal justice; and
- is actively promoting the development of recovery communities.
These provide support to those seeking recovery and enable those in
recovery to 'give back' to communities.
We also provides 2 services:
- The Families & Friends
Network, which supports anyone affected by someone
else's drinking and/or drug use. This delivers a range of services
run through a network of highly trained volunteers.
- Dig-it,
which goes into schools and the community providing information
about drugs and alcohol to young people and offering early
interventions to young drug users.
