Financial support is available through the following national schemes:

Help is also available through the Priority Services Register. This is available for anyone of pensionable age, living with a disability or chronic illness, or who has a visual or hearing impairment. It can provide access to free services, such as gas safety checks.

If you are living on a low income and are vulnerable to the cold, you could also be eligible for advice and support through your local district or borough council.

The West Sussex Affordable Energy website has details of home energy advisors, heating and insulation grants and other support available in your local area.

This includes the free West Sussex Energy Advice Service available from Citizens Advice.

Finding the best energy tariff for you

Make sure you are on the most economical tariff by reviewing your energy costs regularly and checking to see whether you can switch to a better deal. Switching to a renewable energy tariff could help you to reduce your impact on the environment too.

Solar Together Sussex

This is our council-supported group buying scheme to help residents generate clean electricity at home and reduce their impact on the environment.

As a resident, you can install high quality solar panels and battery storage systems from accredited installers at a competitive price through Solar Together Sussex.
