Out-of-school clubs
An out-of-school club provides care and play for children,
either before or after school and during the school
holidays.
Many collect from schools in the area but some require you to
make your own arrangements for after-school collection.
Out-of-school clubs offer activities ranging from outside play
areas to quiet areas for children wishing to relax or to do their
homework, read and play.
Out-of-school care can also be provided by childminders.
Some out-of-school clubs are private, voluntary, or independent
settings with Ofsted Childcare Registration and some are
Governor run and included in a school's Ofsted
registration. Others may be exempt but can choose to be on the
Ofsted
Voluntary Childcare Register.
