Roadworks information

• Closures and diversions
  Sometimes works on the highway, or some large deliveries, require a road to be closed temporarily to general traffic. Such closures require a Traffic Regulation Order issued by the highway authority.

• Highways works programme
  The highways works programme lists the accepted highways works, repairs and improvements programme.

• Maintenance programme and structural surveys
  When roads begin to wear out, they lose their resistance to skidding and become slippery. Also, the structure becomes weak and undulations begin to appear, and cracks and holes appear on the surface.

• Roadworks
  This section contains the Travel Information map page, giving the latest information on roadworks affecting traffic flow including what is currently going on and what is planned. Travel information is also available.

• Who's digging up my road?
  As part of our ongoing plan to improve and maintain the roads in West Sussex, various works take place. It's our aim to fix the problem as soon as we can and cause minimal disruption to residents and businesses while we do so.
