Disabled 'Blue Badge' scheme

Disabled badge holders only signThe disabled badge car scheme (Blue Badge) provides a national arrangement of parking concessions for people with severe walking difficulties, who travel either as drivers or as passengers.

The scheme also applies to those registered blind and people with severe upper limb disabilities who regularly drive, but are unable to operate, or have considerable difficulty in operating parking meters.

The national concession applies only to on-street parking and does not apply to private car parks and some hospitals.
