Working in
partnership
The County Arts Service leads the West Sussex Arts Partnership,
which is the local authority arts forum with district and borough
councils across the county.
History
The partnership has grown from strength to strength since it was
formalized in 2003. It has facilitated and nurtured to great
success projects such as Gravity, Dialog, Poems & Puddings,
Blue Umbrella and the County Dance Initiative as well as
establishing rural arts schemes such as Movies on the Move and
Making Tracks, and leading the West Sussex Ahead of the Game
Cultural Programme for 2012.
The partnership's work enriches communities throughout West
Sussex and demonstrates that the Arts are a vital part of community
life and individual well-being, making a valuable contribution to
the county's cultural, health, economic, learning and skills
landscape.
