Parking
On-street parking in West Sussex is enforced by the County Council who have devolved responsibility to each of the district or borough councils. Sussex Police remain responsible for endorsable driving offences and obstruction (e.g outside schools, on pedestrian crossings and at junctions) for which a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) may be issued. FPNs are issued under criminal law and result in a fine.
Any inquiry relating to a Fixed Penalty Notice or Penalty Charge Notice should be addressed to the issuing authority whose details are shown on the Fixed Penalty Notice/Penalty Charge Notice. Reports of illegal or obstructive parking should be addressed to Sussex Police.
