Parking
In general, on-street parking in West Sussex is currently enforced by Sussex Police, with the exception of paid-for on-street parking in Marine Drive West, Bognor Regis, which is enforced by Arun District Council. On- and off-street parking in Mid Sussex, Horsham, Worthing and Adur is now enforced by the respective district or borough councils.
Any inquiry relating to a Fixed Penalty Notice or Penalty Charge Notice should be addressed to the issuing authority whose details are shown on the Fixed Penalty Notice/Penalty Charge Notice. Reports of illegal or obstructive parking should be addressed to Sussex Police.
We are pursuing a programme of introducing Civil Parking Enforcement (CPE) where the responsibility for enforcement will transfer from the police to the local authority. See parking enforcement for more details.
