School Admission Arrangements for September 2010

Parents have the right to inspect the admission arrangements for any school in West Sussex, except independent schools.

The arrangements are available on this website by following the relevant links at the bottom of this page. The information is split between the West Sussex arrangements for community and controlled schools, and arrangements for voluntary-aided (faith), foundation, including trust schools, and Academies, which determine their own arrangements, in the Worthing and Crawley Admissions Office areas.

Copies of the arrangements can also be viewed at Centenary House, Crawley and Centenary House, Worthing or can be requested for individual schools by telephoning 0845 075 1007.

If parents believe that the arrangements for any school do not comply with the law or the mandatory parts of the School Admissions Code – which is available by clicking the link on the right - they have the right to object to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator

Parents may also object to the proposed admission number for any school which is lower than indicated for the capacity of the school. A list of the schools affected is available on this website or you can request a copy by telephoning: 0845 075 1007.
