Making Your Communities Safer

Community Safety is a term that encompasses all agencies working to reduce crime across West Sussex. Much of this work is delivered via the statutory Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs) based in each district and borough.

While reducing crime is a clear priority, Community Safety is also about increasing people’s feelings of safety, and encouraging communities to have their say about what is done locally to respond to crime and anti social behaviour issues that concern them the most.

The Community Safety Unit at West Sussex County Council leads on a number of county-wide crime priorities and supports the work of our partner agencies, including all seven CDRPs.

Contact details for all our CDRPs and associated partners can be found on the Partnerships page, and should be used if you wish to speak to someone about a localised issue.
