West Sussex Strategic Partnership

The West Sussex Strategic Partnership aims to work together to improve the quality of life of all the people of West Sussex, both present and future.

The West Sussex Strategic Partnership (WSSP) is part of a `family' of Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs) in West Sussex. Local strategic partnerships have partners from all parts of the community, including the public, private, voluntary and community sectors. One of their main aims is to prepare and implement community strategies.

The West Sussex Strategic Partnership has produced a Community Strategy for West Sussex, which aims to focus partnership activity, so that by working together community needs and aspirations are more effectively met.

The Community Strategy for West Sussex focuses on five themes:

More Effective Use of Land
Better Skills for a Better Future
Keeping West Sussex Moving
Better Health for all in West Sussex
Feeling Safer

The partnership has entered into a Local Area Agreement (LAA) for West Sussex. A LAA is a contract between central and local government to deliver the priorties of local people.
