West Sussex County Council: Social Inclusion Strategy - Bridging the Divide

To promote a more inclusive society the County Council have written 'Bridging the Divide'.  This document sets down our  actions that will help reduce social exclusion in West Sussex.

The County Council have defined 'social exclusion' in West Sussex as:

'People living in urban or rural areas, who suffer a combination of linked problems such as a lack of access to services and learning opportunities, unemployment, poor health and housing crime, environment, low incomes and other factors which contribute to individual and family stress and lessen the quality of life'
