Minerals and Waste Development Framework

Welcome to the West Sussex Minerals and Waste Development Framework (MWDF - the "Framework"). The Framework is a portfolio containing land-use plans for minerals and waste. It includes plans prepared under the former planning system that will be 'saved' for a limited period and the new development plan documents (DPD) that will be prepared to replace them. It also includes a number of other documents that form part of the Framework.

LATEST NEWS (March 2010)

Consultation period on Version 2 Background Papers ended on 26 February 2010

The consultation on the Core Strategy  Background Papers (Version 2) ended on the 26 February 2010. The responses received and discussions that have taken place will be summarised and made available.

What will be happening next? 

All of the evidence gathered to date will be analysed and supplemented, where necessary, with further work. This will then inform the Preferred Option document. 

Informal engagement on ‘Preferred Options’ (Winter 2010)

The Preferred Option document will set out the preferred policy approach and potential mineral and waste site allocations. There will be public consultation and engagement at this stage.
