Working from 3 Area Offices this unit is responsible for:

  • The repair, inspection and management of the highway network
  • The preparation and delivery of maintenance and minor schemes
  • Highway inspections
  • Traffic Regulation Orders 
  • The implementation of parking schemes.

Each Area Office has the responsibility for local community planning - including local transport planning, public relations and customer service.
