Working from 3 area offices, this unit is responsible for:

• the repair, inspection and management of the highway network;
• the preparation and delivery of maintenance and minor schemes;
• highway inspections;
• Traffic Regulation Orders;
• the implementation of parking schemes.

Each area office has the responsibility for local community planning - including local transport planning, public relations, and customer service.
