Travel Mark Award Scheme

Travel Mark Award

A School Travel Plan is a working document that requires monitoring and updating in order for it to remain relevant.  It can be sometimes be difficult to maintain the momentum of the School Travel Plan once the initial document has been developed.  Schools are also encouraged to monitor the success of the plan and feed this information back to West Sussex County Council.

For these reasons we have designed an accreditation scheme, which recognises schools that are making good progress with their School Travel Plan.  Schools wishing to apply for a Travel Mark Award should contact their School Travel Adviser in the first instance.

Before being awarded Travel Mark stasus, your School Travel Plan must meet the Travel Mark Award criteria, which ensures a high standard of School Travel Plans throughout the county. Further information about the Travel Mark scheme is available under Downloads.
