At the Record Office we produce a variety of products for sale to the public. They range from the very affordable mini guides to sources on a variety of different subjects and locations throughout West Sussex, to Sussex: Tales of the Unexpected costing £25 - an outstanding volume of fascinating stories of life from the Tudor period to the last century. A number of catalogues of the major collections are also available. They include the Cobden Papers and the Cobden and Unwin Papers listing the internationally important papers of the nineteenth century British politician and statesman best known for his work on the abolition of the Corn Laws in 1846. The catalogues of the major estates of Arundel Castle, Goodwood and Petworth are also available.
We are also the repository and conservation centre of the Screen Archive South East and in collaboration with the Film Archive have produced a number of films on VHS and DVD format. Three very popular items have been the DVDs in the series called Southern Steam. The latter is devoted to archive film of the railways of South East England from 1897 to 1970. Last year saw the release of another DVD to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the demise of steam on the Southern Region of British Railways.
Follow the links at the top of this page to find out more about some of the books and DVDs that we have produced.
