The 10% Challenge

10% Challenge

The 10% Challenge is an initiative led by West Sussex County Council to encourage people to reduce their effect on the environment. It aims to show that everyone can easily reduce their environmental impact by 10% by carrying out some very simple changes to the way they live their lives.

Getting Started

If you drive a car, about half of your total greenhouse gas emissions are likely come from driving. Driving less or using other forms of transportation, such as public transport, cycling or walking, will significantly reduce your fuel consumption and emissions. And it could save you money, and help you get fit too!

Home energy is another big source of your Greenhouse gas emissions. Making smart decisions about heating, cooling and appliances will add to your energy savings.

It's not just about greenhouse gas emissions though. By reducing the amount of waste you create, and by being more aware of how you use water, we can also help reduce our impact on our world.
