Introduction

West Sussex Registration Service invite you to hold your wedding in a special and exciting county. We can offer you a varied range of attractive wedding venues including Register Offices, Stately Homes, Museums, Racecourses and a Castle.

Your wedding day is a special day and the staff of the Registration Service wish to help make your wedding a very happy and memorable occasion.

The ceremony itself is the same as that performed at the Register Office, a non-religious ceremony incorporating two statutory declarations. You are more than welcome to personalise and enhance the basic ceremony by additional vows, poems, readings (read by yourselves or your guests) or music; by law these must not have any religious element, either by nature or association and must be agreed with the Superintendent Registrar prior to the wedding. Registration Staff are happy to advise and discuss any additions to the ceremony that you would want. The giving or exchanging of rings can also be incorporated into the proceedings.

Each wedding is different and can be as simple or as lavish as you wish it to be. Registration Staff will be happy to discuss your wedding plans, to ensure that your marriage is as memorable and meaningful as you want it to be. You can contact any Register Office for further information.
